On Wondering Together
As we wonder together, there are some rules for the road. You will never be required to believe a certain thing or have an answer to your questions or anyone else’s. But all members of The Wondering Company are invited to companion each other in these three specific ways:
-
We hold lanterns out to each other - lighting up the ground at our feet, reminding our fellow wonderers that the ground remains solid beneath the, even when the rest of the world feels like it’s falling apart. We come with openness, care, compassion. We come to help, not to harm. There is no place for pitchforks here. No attacking each other. No enemies. Only fellow wonderers.
-
Fear says we have to be right. That we have to make sure everyone believes the right thing. That there is only one way to be spiritual. Where we do not understand, we lean on love, not fear. We acknowledge ignorance, seek to do better, and always default to love.
-
We are not here to argue. Not here to put each other down for being at a different stage of the wondering journey than we are; we are here to engage the spiritual life with curiosity. Together .
